Day turns into night

So I finally gave The Balm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Nude eyeshadow palette a new chance and I think somehow I like it a bit more now. 🙂 I figured out that to be able to do nice blendings with these eyeshadows you need much more product on the makeup brush than I thought. Otherwise the colors turn to fade out a bit. These eyeshadows are pigmented but a bit powdery. I’m used to more compact eyeshadows with more pigmentation so normally I’m careful to not apply too much color at once. But as I said, with these once from this particular palette, I need to insist much more with the eyeshadows from the beginning to be able to get these nice transitions from one color to another. I love beautiful blended eye makeups so it’s important getting to ”know” the eyeshadows you work with. It’s still not my favorite palette but it’s absolutely approved.
To this neutral makeup I added a pair of orange lips. Orange is really one of the hottest colors this season and I must say I really like it!

Another product I decided to give another chance is Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Kit. I haven’t used it so much since I got it last year. I remember thinking it was a bit to heavy on the face. But also here I decided to rediscover the product. What’s really important here, at least for me, with these creamy shades is to warm them up before applying them onto the face. I always do that with creamy products that goes onto the face but with these once you need a little bit more time. I take a small amount of product and apply it to the top of my hand and with the finger I warm it up in circular moves. When the product is soft enough I start to apply and blend them on the specific part on the face. This is a perfect cream kit to use both professionally and privately.

1. Prime the eyelids with Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primer potion anti-aging. Apply Matt Malloy under the eyebrow and to the inner corner of the eye.
2. Blend in Matt Singh over the brow bone.
3. Mix Matt Garcia and Matt Rosen and blend into the crease and slightly above.
4. Apply Matt Wood to the outer part of the mobile eyelid and blend outwards and up in the crease.
5. Apply NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in MILK over the mobile eyelid. Over it apply Matt Lombardi.
6. Apply Matt Wood along the lower lashline.
7. Blend out Matt Wood with Matt Hung.
8. Line the waterline with Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eyepencil in Rail.
9. Apply Sigma’s Standout Eyes Gel Eyeliner in Liberally Toasted and make a wing.
10. Apply Eyeko’s Skinny Brush Mascara and put on Ardell’s Color Impact Demi Wispies in Wine.
11. Contour the face using Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Kit. Apply a light orange blush to the cheeks.
12. On the lips apply Kryolan’s lipstick LF403 and over it a bit of Yves Saint Laurent Gloss Volupté 1 Golden.
13. Set the makeup with Urban Decay’s de-slick makeup setting spray. Done!

Don’t start what you can’t finish

8. Apply ATMOSPHERE under the lower lashline to about the middle.
9. From the middle to the outer part apply CAMELOT.
10. Under the two colors under the lower lashline blend in the mix of PETRA and NARCISO.
11. Line upper and lower waterline with Urban Decay’s 24/7 glide-on eyepencil in DEMOLITON.
12. Apply Sigma’s Standout eyes gel eyeliner in Stunningly Ladylike and make a wing. Apply it also in the inner corner of the eye creating an arabic eye.
13. Apply mascara and put on Ardell’s Color Impact Demi Wispies in color Wine.
14. Contour the face using Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. Apply Collistar’s silk effect blusher/eyeshadow on the cheeks.
15. On the lips apply Marc Jacobs (P)outliner Longwear Lippencil 302 HONEY(BUN) and over it Marc Jacobs New Nudes 108 HAVE WE MET? Set the makeup with Urban Decay’s de-slick makeup setting spray. Done!

All That Glitters

Idag visar jag er en soft sotad sminkning med en gnutta färg i vattenlinjen.
Jag ska alldeles strax hålla en privat sminklektion för en jättegullig tjej. Jag kommer att göra hennes bröllopssminkning framöver.

6. Apply MAC’s eyeshadow Naked Lunch over the middile mobile eyelid and in the inner corner of the eye.
7. In the inner and outer part of the mobile eyelid apply MAC’s eyeshadow All That Glitters.
8. Mix Thinker and Intellect and apply them along the lower lashline. Blend out with Perception.
9. Line upper and lower waterline with Urban Decay’s 24/7 glide-on eyepencil in Graffiti.
10. Apply Sigma standout eyes gel eyeliner in Wicked and make a wing.
11. Apply mascara and put on Ardell’s Color Impact Demi Wispies In Wine.
12. Use Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit to contour the face. Apply Sigma Powder Blush Cheeky.
13. On the lips apply Motives Cosmetics Rich Formula Lipstick Natural and over it their lipgloss Radiant Glow.
14. Set the make up with Motives Cosmetics No More Shine makeup setting spray. Done!

 

Soft Holiday Make Up

Hoppas ni har en fin start på veckan! Vi har haft en skön långhelg då det var röd dag här i Italien igår. Men nu har veckan dragit igång och det kommer att vara fullt upp varje dag. Vi håller på att fixa det sista i lägenheten plus att vi måste organisera en hel del innan vi reser hem till Sverige över jul.
Idag visar jag er denna soft sotade jul sminkning där jag använt mig av Too Faced Chocolate Bar. Jag älskar denna palett! Och såklart, precis efter jag köpt den meddelande Too Faced lanseringen av deras nya palett som heter Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar… Jag får inte fundera på det nu… 😉

I hope you’re having a great start of the week! We’ve had a nice long weekend since it was holiday here in Italy yesterday. But now the week has started and it’ll be busy everyday. We’re fixing the last things in the apartment plus that we’ve to oraganize all things before our trip home to Sweden for Christmas.
Today I show you this soft holiday make up where I’ve used Too Faced Chocolate Bar. Love this palette! And of course, right after I bought it Too Faced announced the launch of their new palette called Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar palette… I can’t think about that now… 😉

Spero che abbiate avuto un buon inizio della settimana. Noi abbiamo avuto un fine settimana lungo abbastanza tranquillo. Questa settimana sarà molto più movimentata dove dobbiamo sistemare le ultime cose nell’appartamento e organizzare tutto prime del nostro viaggo a casa in Svezia per natale.
Vi mostro questo trucco soft smokey oggi perfetto per le feste. Per crearlo ho usato la Chocolate Bar della Too Faced. Adoro questa palette! Ovviamente appena l’avevo comprata Too Faced annucia il lancio della loro nuova palette che si chiama Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar… Non ci posso pensare a quella ora… 😉

1. Prime the eyelids with Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primer potion anti-aging. Apply White Chocolate all over the browbone.
2. Blend in Salted Caramel above the crease.
3. Right under Salted Caramel blend in Milk Chocolate.
4. In the crease blend in Semi-Sweet and blend out and outwards.
5. From the inner part of the mobile eyelid to the middle apply Marzipan.
6. On the outer part of the mobile eyelid apply Haute Chocolate.
7. To the outer V apply Tripple Fudge and blend out
8. Apply Champagne Truffle to the inner corner of the eye and right under the eyebrow.
9. Under the lower lashline apply Amaretto.
10. Under Amaretto apply Crème Brulee and blend out.
11. Line upper and lower waterline with Urban Decay’s 24/7 glide-on eyepencil in Perversion. Apply Stila Stay All Day waterproof liquid eyeliner in Intense Black and make a wing.
12. Apply mascara and apply Ardell’s Color Impact Demi Wispies in color Wine.
13. As a face contour use Brozning Veil. On the cheeks apply Sigma Cheeky Powder Blush and highlight the cheekbones with MAC’s eyeshadow Naked Lunch.
14. On the lips first apply KIKO’s Automatic Precision Lip Liner nr 506 Cherry Red and over it Rimmel Crystal Clear Vinyl Gloss.
15. Set the make up with Urban Decay’s Chill Makeup setting spray. Done!

1. Prime the eyelids with Urban Decay’s primer potion anti-aging. Highlight under the eyebrows with AIR.
2. Blend in DESERT above the crease.
3. Right under DESERT blend in FIRE.
4. Apply NYX jumbo eye pencil in MILK over the mobile eyelid. In the inner corner and inner part of the mobile eyelid apply MAC eyeshadow NAKED LUNCH.
5. From the inner to the middle mobile eyelid apply MAC eyeshadow ALL THAT GLITTERS.
6. Over the outer mobile eyelid apply MAC eyeshadow CRANBERRY.
7. Blend in EARTH in the crease and blend up and outerwards. Apply EBONY to the outer V and blend out.
8. Line upper and lower waterline with Anastasia Beverly Hills Covet waterproof eyeliner in NOIR. Apply it also under the lower lashline but keep it to the outer corner. Over it apply EBONY.
9. In the inner part under the lower lashline apply Make Up Store Microshadow RUBY and blend it out under the black.
10. In the inner corner of the eye apply a glue glitter and over it a loose gold glitter.
11. Apply Sigma standout eye gel eyeliner LIBERALLY TOASTED from the inner part to the middle and WICKED from the middle to the wing. Under the eye I applied four brown pearl stickers.
12. Apply mascara and put on Ardell Color Impact Demi Wispies in color Wine.
13. As a face contour use Brozning Veil. On the cheeks apply Sephora’s blush Romantic Rose and highlight the cheekbones with Elf’s Radiance Enhancer in Golden.
14. On the lips apply I used as a contour Kiko’s Glamorous Eyepencil nr 402. Then I used two lipcolors from Kryolan nr LF417 and LF431.

Pink Sapphire

Idag bjuder jag på ytterligare en höstig sminking. Gillar verkligen Lavish paletten från Anastasia Beverly Hills, och som jag skulle vilja prova alla de nya paletterna som kommit ut; Amrezy, Maya Mia and Tamanna. De är verkligen hur fina som helst. Ja, man kan kalla mig ögonskuggs beroende. 🙂

2. Under the eyebrows apply CREAM.
3. Blend in ORANGE SODA above the crease.
4. Right under ORANGE SODA blend in SIENNA.
5. Apply NYX jumbo eye pencil in MILK over the mobile eyelid and over it apply PINK SAPPHIRE.
6. In the inner corner of the eye apply MOSS.
7. Apply BLACK DIAMOND to the outer V and blend it out up in the crease.
8. Line upper and lower waterline with Anastasia Beverly Hills Covet waterproof eyeliner in NOIR. Apply it also under the lower lashline and smudge out.
9. Over the black eyeliner apply BLACK DIAMOND and blend it out using PINK SAPPHIRE.
10. Apply Stila stay all day waterproof liquid eyeliner in Intense Black and make a wing.
11. Apply mascara and put on Ardell Color Impact Demi Wispies in color Wine.
12. As a face contour use Bronzing Veil. On the cheeks apply Face Stockholm Blush in Celestial and highlight the cheekbones with Benefit’s Sun Beam.
13. On the lips apply Kryolan’s lipstick LF402. Set everything with Motives Cosmetics No More Shine Make Up setting spray. Done!

Autumn Sunrise

Imorse började skolorna här i Italien och min lilla tjej började i första klass. Jag kan inte fatta att tiden har gått så fort… Hon tyckte det skulle bli jättespannade och allt har gått bra. Denna vecka går de bara till 12:30 men från nästa vecka drar det igång på allvar fram till 16:30. Oliver däremot börjar dagis på torsdag. Eftersom det är nytt dagis blir det inskolning för hans del. Det kan nog ta ett tag men jag tror allt kommer att gå bra där också.
Idag visar jag er en höstig sminkning med mycket färg som jag gjorde när vi var i Sverige.

This morning the schools here in Italy started and my little girl started in elementary school. I can’t believe that time has gone so fast… She was excited about it and everything went fine. This week they just stay until 12:30 but from next week they’ll go until 16:30. Oliver on the other hand will start the Kindergarten on Thursday morning. Since it’s a new Kindergarten for him I’ll be there during the first days.
Today I show you and autumn make up with lots of color that I made while we were in Sweden.

Questa mattina la mia bambina ha iniziato la prima elementare. Il tempo è davvero passato troppo in fretta… Era emozionata ed è andato tutto benissimo. Questa settimana fanno solo metà giornata ma dalla settimana prossima inizieranno le giornate intere. Oliver inizierà la materna giovedì e spero che l’inserimento di lui non sarà troppo lungo. So benissimo che dopo l’estate non è facile riprendere queste attività ma sicuramente andrà bene.

2. Mix DESERT and DAY and blend them in over the browbone.
3. Above the crease blend in FIRE.
4. Over the mobile eyelid apply NYX jumbo eye pencil in MILK. Over it in the inner corner apply Motives Cosmetics eyeshadow Pearl.
5. In the inner part of the mobile eyelid apply Motives Cosmetics eyeshadow Green Apple.
6. Over the middle mobile eyelid apply Motives Cosmetics eyeshadow Forbidden.
7. Over the outer part of the mobile eyelid apply Make Up Store’s microshadow Sunrise.
8. Blend in RAIN in the crease and blend it outwards.
9. Over RAIN in the crease blend in EARTH and blend it out.
10. Add intesity to the outer V using EBONY and blend out well.
11. Line upper and lower waterline with Anastasia Beverly Hills Covet Waterproof eyeliner in NOIR. Apply it also under the lower lashline and smudge it out. Over the black apply EBONY and blend it out with Make Up Store’s Microshadow Sunrise.
12. Apply Sigma standout eyes gel eyeliner in Wicked and make a wing. At the end of the eyeliner wing I applied a red rhinestone.
13. Apply mascara and put on Ardell Color Impact Demi Wispies in Wine.
14. On the lips I applied on the first version NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Nude Peach Fuzz and on the second version NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Bonfire.
15. Set everything with Motives Cosmetics No More Shine Make Up Setting Spray. Done!

Burning out

11. Apply Sigma’s gel eyeliner in LIBERALLY TOASTED. Make a wing and apply it also in the inner corner of the eye creating a cat eye.
12. Apply mascara and put on Ardell’s Color Impact Demi Wispies in the color Wine.
13. As a face contour use Bronzing Veil. On the cheeks apply Sephora’s blush in Romantic Rose and highlight the cheekbones with Benefit’s Sun Beam.
14. On the lips I applied for a natural look Motives Cosmetics Rich Formula Lipstick in Natural and over it a bit of their lipgloss Radiant Glow. For the red lips I used KIKO’s Velvet Mat Lipstick 607 Rosso Vermiglio. Done!

5. From the middle to the outer mobile eyelid apply Pink Sapphire.
6. In the outer crease blend in Truffle.
7. Along the lower lashline apply and blend out Pink Sapphire.
8. Line upper and lower waterline with Anastasia’s Covet Waterproof Eyeliner in Noir.
9. Apply Stila’s Stay all Day Waterproof Liquid eyeliner in Black. Make a wing and apply in also in the inner corner of the eye creating a cat eye.
10. Apply mascara and put on Ardell’s Color Impact Demi Wispies in Wine.
11. As a face contour use Bronzing Veil. On the cheeks apply Sephora’s blush Romantic Rose and highlight the cheekbones with Benefit’s Sun Beam.
