Realgar

My makeup suggestion for the weekend is this soft orange autumn makeup look that is super easy and fast to create. I personally used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette for this look. This palette has really become my ”go to” palette and I use it many times during the weeks.
For this look I’ve only used four eyeshadows of the palette and Realgar is a shade that I adore. It’s amazing by itself or as a transition color.

Kiss My Eyes

Me and my family just came back from a week in Stockholm. It’s been really nice and Stockholm is as always such a beautiful city with so many things to do. We’ve really been enjoying this week together. We didn’t do much shopping but one day we visitied The Mall of Scandinavia and there I bought myself two gorgeous gel eyeliners from Inglot. I’ve been wanting to try them out for over a year now and finally I got two of them. I will make a post about them further on.

The look I show you today is purple with blendings in orange and yellow. I love this combination of colors. To it I matched with a pink lipstick. I think it’s a fun look you can use for a special occasion or a party.

I hope all of you’re great and I’ll try to update the blog soon again. ❤

Bubble Gum

I made this look just a couple of days ago and it was a look I didn’t mean to pubblish, but then halfway through the makeup I changed my mind and just felt the need to take a few pictures of it. That’s also why it didn’t exactly turn out the way I had in mind. The only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to use one of my mother’s necklaces that looks like many colorful bubble gums put together and therefor I went with a pink lipcolor to match it a bit. Over all I think the lipstick goes ok with this look but for a more classic look I would have chosen a red or an orange shade or why not a nude lipcolor for a classic everyday look. I need to use this necklace again but maybe try a completely colorful makeup. The necklace feels so 80s and I hope I’ll have the time to come up with a fun look using it.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend! Me and my family are going up to Stockholm over the weekend. My youngest cousin is going to get married and I’ll do her wedding makeup! ❤ So I’m really looking forward to that.

Modern Renaissance Makeup Look

I’ve been really busy and stressed lately, so finally being able to sit down here with the blog showing you a new look feels very good! Makes me clear my mind at least for a little while.
I made this look a few weeks ago but haven’t been able to organize all the photos until now. The new header for the blog is actually done using this makeup.

It’s now a couple of weeks that I’ve been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette. I can definately say that it has become one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes. I love all the shades and it’s easy to create both simple everyday makeup looks and more dramatic intense makeup looks using it. Perfect to bring with you in vacation.

Right now I’m in Sweden and as usual I brought too much makeup with me. (It’s so hard to choose that I always end up bringing more than I need to) When we go for just a week it’s different, then I try to bring just the necessary but when we’ll stay for a longer period like now, I always have a hard time to think rationally. If I don’t bring most of my favorites with me I always think I’m going to miss them so they normally get a place in the bag.
Mostly, these first days, I’ve actually been using the Modern Renaissance palette even though to be completely honest, it’s not that I’m doing much makeup in this period so right now I really wonder what I’ll do with all the makeup I brought with me… I hope my motivation comes back soon!

I hope you guys are doing great! I want to wish you all a fantastic summer whether you’re working or are in vacation!

Keep Dancing

I’ve always liked the combination of purple and orange shades in eye makeups. I’ve probably used it in many times but I never get tired of it. For me this is a great summer makeup that can be used both day and nighttime.
In this makeup I mixed both shimmery and matte eyeshadows.

Last week I finally ordered a new makeup palette that I can’t wait to get home and play with. Some of you may already have it, or for sure you’ve seen it in many makeup tutorials lately. I won’t tell you which one it is but as soon as I’ll have it I’ll post it here on the blog with swatches and information.

Lightning Strikes

Finally I’m able to post a new look here on the blog. I’ve been absence for a month, first due to computer problems and then the more time passed by the more I didn’t have the strength to do new makeup looks or create new blog posts. I love makeup so much and for me it’s pure passion but unfortunately when I realized that the time I dedicate in doing new looks sometimes is a complete waste I just felt that I needed a long break. I do have been doing lots of makeup, both on myself and most important on other people, but I haven’t photographed any of them. It’s actually been nice not feeling the need and stress of taking these photos. It can look easy when you look at these kind of pictures but sometimes it takes 300 photos just to get 5 good ones. I think i really needed a break to just clear my mind and get some distance from all the pictures and everything else that comes with them to get back the right motivation again. 🙂
I believe that taking a break sometimes, even from what you love, is the best you can do.

During this month I’ve also been to the seaside here in Tuscany with my family for one week which gave me lots of positive energy!

The look I show you today I made a while back using the Balm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Nude Eyeshadow palette. I do love neutral matte eye makeup looks but I haven’t used this palette ever since I made this look. Personally I need to get a ”wow” feeling when I use eyeshadows but with this these eyeshadows I just don’t get that feeling. The shades don’t stand out enough to make me feel that they’re better or different than others. Too bad I would say because the palette looks amazing. I should probably give it another chance again…

I’m sorry for my awayness and I hope that I’ll be able to post more from now on. I hope all of you are fine and I want to wish you a great weekend! ❤
